The Moscow – Nizhny Novgorod route has been served by the Strizh (“swift”), a high-speed train built by the Spanish company Patentes Talgo. As many as 7 Strizh trains make this run daily, covering the route in 3 hours, 35 minutes, making brief stops in both Vladimir and Dzerzhinskava.

There are five VIP 1st Class carriages and two 1st Class carriages on this train (each with cabins sleeping 2 passengers each) and nine 2nd Class cabins with cabins sleeping 4 passengers. Additionally, there are both a bistro car and a restaurant car. Amenities on all cars include AC, vacuum toilets, and 220V AC sockets. All cars also have fire alarms, and each train carries security for added safety.
