The Lev Tolstoy serves the Moscow – Helsinki route, with a stop in St Petersburg. Named for Russia’s famous writer Leo Tolstoy, the train runs the 1082 km overnight route every day except Saturday, reaching Helsinki in 14-15 hours.

The train offers 1st Class cabins with 2 lower berths, air conditioning, 220V sockets, and hygiene kits. VIP 1st Class cabins also include private shower and toilet. Both types of 1st class tickets include a meal as well. The Lev Tolstoy also offers 2nd Class cabins with 2 upper and 2 lower berths.

The train has a dining car decorated in vintage style reminiscent of Tolstoy’s time. A vehicle car offers passengers the ability to transport their car. Additionally, a tax-free refund service is available on the Tolstoy so non-EU passengers can receive a refund of the VAT tax upon leaving Finland.
