The Grand Express is the only privately-run luxury train on the Russian Railways. In service since 2005, the train runs daily overnight service on the Moscow – St Petersburg route.
This train offers multiple levels of comfort, from simple 2nd Class economy tickets up through the luxurious Grand Imperial cabins. Regular 2nd Class and 2nd Class Economy cabins sleep 4 (2 upper, 2 lower); while the Business 1st, Comfort 1st and Basic 1st Class cabins all sleep 2 passengers. 1st Class and regular 2nd Class tickets include a hot breakfast, hygienic kit, and slippers.
The Grand Express also offers Grand, Grand de Luxe and Grand Imperial cabins for those wishing to ride in the height of luxury in more spacious cabins with private shower and toilet, bath robes, fruit and juice and other amenities included.
Free Wi-Fi and 220v sockets are available in all carriages, as are TVs and DVD players. There is also a restaurant car with a broad menu.
