The facilities of the Toy Railway became a scene for the masterclass led by the Alexander Osipov, the famous Urals photographer. The models have performed in exceptional historical costumes while posing next to the locomotives and at the railway platforms and at the wagon depot. During the event, participants could also have a ride on a retro train along the route  Yekaterinburg-Detskiy - Pionerskaya - Yekaterinburg-Detskiy.

 

The young owners of the Toy Railway Depot, have introduced the guests to the main facilities and equipment and allowed to navigate the train on a simulator.

 

Sverdlovsk Toy Railway is located in Yekaterinburg, in the Central Park of Culture and Recreation (TsPKiO). It has been opened in the 1960s and trains youth for adopting a future profession. All workers at the railway are school boys and girls of 5 and 6th grade.

 

The Toy Railway offers the complete sequence of duties and professions of the real railway. The training takes 3 years, during which each school child goes through all professions. The length of the Toy Railway is 3.1 km. The main railway combines 3 stations and 2 stop points. Up to this date, the Toy Railway has carried 4.8 million passengers.

 

In 2017th the Toy railway started to function all year round. Till may you will be able to take a ride
